Borges
Founded in 1884, Sociedade dos Vinhos Borges has a long history of making and marketing great wines. Two enterprising brothers, António and Francisco Borges, who had remarkable business acumen and a deep passion for both the land and wine, began the task of building their vision into the company we know today.
Borges understands the need to master the entire production process, starting from the planting of the vineyard. That is why the company owns four of Portugal’s leading estates in the main demarcated regions: Quinta de Simaens and Quinta do Ôro in the Vinho Verde Region, Quinta da Soalheira in the Douro Region, and Quinta de São Simão da Aguieira in the Dão Region.
Borges produces several quality brands for different segments, thanks to these estates, whose individual identities underpin the character and authenticity of these nectars. When you open a Borges wine, you are whisked away on a journey through three of Portugal’s most important demarcated regions — Vinho Verde, Dão, and Douro — as you explore the original essence of each wine.
Borges, deeply rooted in nature, delivers the fruit of its passion to all four corners of the globe and, in the spirit of RES NON VERBA, continues to write and rewrite the story of wine: a story of commitment, love, and dedication.
